Emma Diederiks was born (1990) and raised in Amsterdam, the Netherlands. She received her B.Sc. Degree in Chemical Engineering (2019) at Saxion Enschede, university of applied sciences. During her internship at Delft Advanced Biofuels B.V. she developed a model on gas bubble size in multiphase reactors. For her thesis she conducted research at Avantium N.V. on the purification of sugar syrup. Following her studies she continued to work for Avantium N.V. on the scale up of the Dawn™ process. Later she returned to Delft Advanced Biofuels B.V. to work as a process engineer on the scale up of a novel bio-reactor. Currently, she has joined the Noël Research Group as Technician.
