Khadijah Anwar was born in Glasgow, Scotland. In 2019, she graduated from the University of Strathclyde with a Masters degree in Chemistry under the supervision of Prof. Eva Hevia. She then moved to Germany to carry out her PhD in the Gómez Suárez group at the University of Wuppertal, focussing on the synthesis and modification of amino acids via photoredox catalysis. In 2024, she joined the Nöel Research Group at the University of Amsterdam as a postdoctoral researcher.
