Adrián Luguera Ruiz was born in 1993 in Madrid (Spain). He received his BSc degree in Chemistry (2017) and his MSc degree in Organic Chemistry (2018) from Complutense University of Madrid. As undergraduate student he worked on the development on new [18F]PET radiotracers, and during his MSc degree he was focused on the Development of Antibody-Drug Conjugates as antituberculosis drugs. In September 2018 he joined Janssen as Junior Research Fellow, during a 6 months internship, working on the synthesis of small molecules on different drug discovery processes. On the following years he has received different Graduate Research Fellowships working on different topics as the development of New Rh(III) complexes at IMDEA Nanoscience (2019, Madrid) or on the Synthesis of Nucleoside derivatives as new Antivirals at IQM-CSIC (2021, Madrid). He also was contracted by Eurofins Villapharma Research (2020, Murcia), working on the synthesis of small molecules under client requests. Now a days, Adrián is based on Pavia (Italy) where he is pursuing his PhD studies at PhotoGreen Lab belonging to University of Pavia. His project is part of the Marie S. Curie ITN network PhotoReAct and it is entitled “New uncharged precursors for photoredox-mediated radical generation”. It deals with the development of new uncharged scaffolds to access, through metal-free photoredox processes, to different radicals under batch and flow conditions.
