Lars Wesenberg was born in Bad Schwalbach, Germany. He obtained his BSc degree at Johannes Gutenberg University of Mainz in 2014 and his MSc degree in electro-organic chemistry two years later under the supervision of Prof. S. R. Waldvogel. During his MSc, he spent half a year in Japan working on the development of electrochemical methods in the group of Prof. Yoshida at Kyoto University. In 2016, Lars joined Prof. S. R. Waldvogel’s group to start his PhD studies in the fields of electro-organic chemistry with a broad variety of different applications and industry collaborations. After Lars received his doctoral degree magna cum laude in 2020, he joined the Noël Research Group at the University of Amsterdam in April 2021 where he is pursuing the combination of electrochemical and microfluidic techniques.
