Laura Buglioni was born in Camerino, a small town in the centre of Italy. After receiving her master degree in Synthetic Chemistry at the University of Camerino, she enrolled as a doctoral student in the group of Prof. Carsten Bolm at RWTH Aachen University (Germany). There, she focused her research on the synthesis of sulfoximines, sulfilimines and in particular of analogs of sulfur-containing small molecules. In 2016, after defending her thesis, she moved to ICIQ (Tarragona, Spain) where she worked at first in the group of Prof. Miquel A. Pericàs as a postdoctoral researcher and later in the Research Project Department. Currently, she is a Marie Curie postdoctoral fellow at TU/e in the group of Associate Prof. Timothy Noël. She is now interested in developing new electrochemical transformations in microflow reactors.
